New Journey Recovery House Morehead KY 40351

The New Journey Recovery House was built by Christian ministries to offer an alternative solution to the lives of addicts and alcoholics in the halfway houses across the nation. This unique approach helps families get clean, sober and re-educated so they can start a new life on a clean slate. Located in Morehead City, North Carolina, this sober housing community is only accessible by scheduled visits from a certified counselor so families are able to establish a connection from the very beginning. The focus on reaching out to the local community is what sets it apart from other residential programs. The goal of New Journey Recovery House Sober Living is to not only help those who are living in the house, but also provide education and training for staff at the house so no family will be left out or forgotten.

The goal of New Journey Recovery House Sober Living is to offer the basic necessities to families as they begin the journey to recovery; however, the emphasis is placed on long-term solutions, educational development and spiritual growth. The transitional living program incorporates bible study curriculum to give members a solid understanding of their faith and scripture. The goal of New Journey is to assist families in developing healthy relationships with each other so that they can fully understand the demands placed upon them in the daily regimen of caring for a loved one. The transition plan focuses on the emotional, physical and spiritual well-being of the patient in order for them to fully recover from addiction.

The primary focus of the transitional living plan at New Journey is the individual’s desire to become sober and stop the cycle of abuse and addiction. A variety of activities and services are offered for families to participate in so they can build a healthy relationship with each other while learning to support each other during the process. This is why families have access to the program at all times, even when the patient is not in recovery. Programs are scheduled to ensure that families maintain close contact with each other during the recovery process.
