Satir Institute of the South India offers quality drug and alcohol rehabilitation programs. A center at Satir, located in Kolkata is known for its holistic approach to treatment which brings together the entire body, mind, and spirit to address the problem of drug abuse. Located in the foothills of the majestic mountains of the eastern state of West Bengal, this particular center is one of the few in the country which has been certified by the government of Bangladesh. It is a private, not-for profit organization with a primary objective of providing comprehensive drug rehabilitation to addicts. The center is led by Dr. Subir B. Jha, a renowned physician and former director of the Bangladesh National AIDS Foundation.
In an effort to provide world-class drug rehab facility to its members, the center incorporates a personalized treatment system based on the holistic approach. The approach of the center is primarily geared towards offering an all around holistic drug addiction treatment method to patients. In addition, it puts special emphasis on family therapy to strengthen the relationship between the addict and his family. Several outpatient drug rehab facilities are offered by the center at various locations in and around the country.
In recent years, many organizations have come up as a part of the Foundation to offer quality drug rehab in different parts of the country. However, only a few of these centers are recognized by the National Association of Drug Addiction counselors as genuine drug rehab centers. The Satir Institute of the South India is one of such clinics which offers treatment to addicted people suffering from various kinds of addictions like alcoholism, heroin addiction, cocaine addiction, etc. This center also provides residential drug rehab facility to people who are addicted to drugs and have failed to get rid of the problem on their own.
