The Step House LLC is a licensed alcohol and drug rehab facility located in Alamogordo, NM. The facility was founded by Tom Price and his wife Lorraine. The two had decided to open up a drug rehab and alcoholism treatment center in Alamogordo after they were victims of addiction themselves and saw first hand how difficult it was to recover from substance abuse. They felt that by opening an alcohol and drug rehab facility in Alamogordo, New Mexico, they would give people in the community access to quality treatment services, without which the rate of relapse is very high.

The center is home to twenty-nine different patient families, of which fourteen are in recovery for substance abuse. The aim of The Step House LLC is for each family to have one individual assigned as the principal caregiver, who is responsible for the patients’ daily needs and responsibilities. Since each patient’s condition is unique, the specialists at the center work closely with them in order to customize an individualized addiction treatment program based on the patients’ particular needs and requirements. The primary goal of The Step House is to offer comprehensive, quality health care, life skills development, spiritual support and resources that can help addicts and alcoholics to get on with their lives and resume their productive lives.

The rehabilitation program at The Step House includes twelve residential treatment units, including detox units, group homes, support groups, day care facilities, residential treatment facilities, and palliative care. All patient families are offered individualized treatment plans, individualized services, and personalized nutrition plans, according to the patient’s specific medical conditions and current lifestyle.
