Clean Adventure’s claim to fame is that they have “a one-on-one detox” program. The program claims that their employees have “reached the peak of physical and psychological fitness.” So, if it’s physically fit enough to do the job on your behalf, why are so many employees from other rehab centers having accidents while on the job? One of the main reasons cited for this is the fact that many employees who work in these other drug rehab centers don’t have very good employees training or supervision, or are unaware of good customer service skills or how to handle a situation if it arises. I’ve worked in several other rehab centers, and even those that don’t have as large an intake rate often have problems with employee supervision and customer service.

I myself have been in the same position as many of the people Clean Adventure workers. My job entails working closely with recovering addicts, so I have come to know many people over the years, and also know how they can be misused by certain rehab facilities. My co-workers and I often have run-ins with the management during the day. Employees often don’t realize the level of power that they have when they accept an offer to work somewhere, even though it is in their best interest to not go. This is the main reason why I think that it is important to choose an inpatient drug rehab facility rather than a more flexible outpatient one – the inpatient is clearly the safer choice, if you just want to get better fast.

The second reason why I am against inpatient treatment at Clean Adventures is the prices. The majority of these centers charge way more money than those for out-patient treatment at local hospitals, rehab clinics, or substance abuse centers. In addition, I don’t feel that it’s necessary to pay all that much for private counseling sessions, especially since many of the addict/addressed individuals that come to Clean Adventures for counseling are already receiving therapy at a local facility. So my answer to the question is pretty simple: If you are an addict, then I would definitely consider staying clean and going to an inpatient treatment facility, but if you are healthy and can handle outpatient treatment at your home, go for it.
