Panic! at the Disco frontman Brendon Urie received the “Key to the City” in his hometown of Las Vegas, Nevada, on Tuesday.
Urie received the honor from Las Vegas Commissioner Jim Gibson in recognition of his outstanding achievements in music. Previously, Elvis Presley, Madonna and Britney Spears have had the honor bestowed upon them.
Panic! At The Disco is set to perform at the Billboard Music Awards Wednesday night, May 1 at 8 pm ET/PT on NBC.
At this year’s Billboard Music Awards, Urie will join Taylor Swift as the show’s opener, performing her new hit single “ME!” The band will also play their latest track “Hey Look Ma, I Made It.”
The band is also competing for four awards at the BBMAs, including Best Rock Song for “High Hopes” and Best Rock Album.
