Train and Dashboard Confessional have written new songs for the upcoming Spiderman 2 soundtrack, due to hit stores June 22. The Soundtrack will also feature previously unreleased music by The Ataris, Jet, Hoobastank and Yellowcard. The album will also feature music from Smile Empty Soul, Midtown, Lostprophets and Taking Back Sunday. Train’s song, entitled “Ordinary” will be released to radio in the upcoming weeks, with a video to be shot this month. Dashboard Confessional’s song, “Vindicated” is also expected to be sent to radio, with a video to follow. The original Spiderman soundtrack, released in 2002, featured the monster hit “Hero” by Nickelback’s Chad Kroeger featuring Saliva’s Josey Scott. The song spent most of the summer of 2002 at number one, and helped propel both of their respective bands in future releases. The album also featured music by Injected, Theory of a Deadman, Greenwheel, Bleu, and Black Lab. Spiderman 2 is slated to hit theaters June 30th.
