The long awaited album from Smashing Pumpkins/Zwan front man Billy Corgan is soon to arrive. The release date for his first solo album, entitled TheFutureEmbrace, is set for June 21st. The first single released to U.S. radio will be “Walking Shade“, with an intimate venue tour to follow starting in July. The album includes a cover of the Bee Gees’ “To Love Somebody”, in which the Cure’s Robert Smith added his touch with backup vocals. Jimmy Chamberlin of the Smashing Pumpkins played drums once again for Billy on the track “DIA”. Corgan has stated that he’s trying to get closer to his true self. This part of Corgan’s career will be quite different from what Pumpkins’ fans may expect. As for the Pumpkins, there will be 200 songs including their studio albums and B-sides available through online music stores starting April 5th.
