Shinedown lead singer Brent Smith recently announced that guitarist Jasin Todd and Bassist Brad Stewart are both no longer in the band. The band’s new album, “Sounds of Madness” is due out June 24th, and will feature the upcoming single “Devour,” due to hit radio next month. The announcement of Todd’s departure from the band comes in the wake of his arrest in Jacksonville, Fla. earlier last week, on charges of disorderly intoxication and resisting an officer. Smith said that Todd’s departure from the group “all went down awhile ago.” To replace Todd, the band has brought in Sivertide guitarist Nick Perri. Smith gave no explanation of Stewart’s exit, just said that he will be replaced by Eric Bass. Smith posted the above news on the band’s MySpace blog on Friday, much of it coming as a big surprise to longtime Shinedown fans. The band will likely be hitting the road next month to begin promoting their upcoming release, and are expected to tour through much of the summer.
