The Foo Fighters and Muse were recently announced as headlining acts for this year Lollapalooza festival scheduled to take place in Chicago’s Grant Park from August 5th to the 7th. The Foo Fighters are expected to take to the stage to play both old and new songs, with their seventh studio album slated for release in April. It will be their first new album in four years. Lollapalooza will be one of several festival appearances for Muse, who will be working on their latest album next summer. They will be playing hits from past albums including their 2009 release The Resistance. Eminem has also been confirmed to be headlining the festival and the full lineup is expected to be released in April. Previously announced acts include Best Coast, Girl Talk, Crystal Castles and Lykke Li.
