Pearl Jam delighted their Toronto fans when they brought out Neil Young for a surprise appearance at their Air Canada Centre concert on Sunday night. The band were nearing the end of their 26-song, 150-minute set when they launched into a cover of Neil Young’s “Rockin’ in the Free World,” which they routinely cover. Soon after the song kicked off, Young joined the band onstage, jamming and harmonizing with frontman Eddie Vedder and the rest of the band for over 15 minutes. Pearl Jam are currently on tour in Canada, with further shows slated in Toronto, Ottawa, Hamilton, Winnipeg, Saskatoon, Calgary and Edmonton before wrapping up the Canadian leg of their tour in Vancouver on September 25. The next leg of the tour launches on November 3 in Sao Paulo, Brazil and continues on with a string of South American dates until November 24, when the band wraps up in Mexico City.
