The Toadies have announced a major US headlining tour in support of the Rubberneck 20-Year Anniversary Reissue due out April 1st on Kirtland Records. The nationwide trek kicks off at this year’s SXSW and will have the band hitting notable venues across the US including the Troubadour in Los Angeles, First Avenue in Minneapolis and Irving Plaza in NYC. Toadies will be bringing out special guests and close friends the Supersuckers and Battleme for the entire run. I’m really excited to take the Supersuckers and Battleme on the road with us. I figure we have all rock bases covered. Each band brings something different to the table, but they all fit on the bill perfectly. If you come to one of these shows, YOU WILL BE ROCKED! – Clark The Toadies have been playing together for the past two and half decades. As they reach another milestone in their career with the reissue of Rubberneck, they’re excited to take it on the road and play the album that started it all from beginning to end for longtime fans. 20 years ago I would have never imagined that the album would have not only caught on, but held on for so long. The fans that album brought us have stayed with us over the years and continue to spread the word. I’m looking forward to seeing some familiar faces. – Vaden Rubberneck was a platinum selling, breakthrough album for the Toadies thanks in part to the incredibly successful single “Possum Kingdom.” The album hit #1 on the Billboard Heatseekers chart and went on to spend 49 weeks on the Billboard 200. The band built up quite a following, touring extensively throughout the 90s, opening for a number of noteworthy artists including Red Hot Chili Peppers, White Zombie, Bush and The Butthole Surfers. They also had a few headlining and co-headlining runs with likeminded bands such as the Supersuckers (who are joining them for this momentous tour) and The Reverend Horton Heat.
