The Lumineers have released a music video for “It Wasn’t Easy to Be Happy for You,” a song from their upcoming album, III. The video was directed by Kevin Phillips. “We try to speak kindly after a breakup, but sometimes the truth is a different story,” said Wes Schultz, the lead vocalist of the folk rock band. He added, “This is the introduction to Junior Sparks, through his eyes and first-love heartbreak.” The album will be released on September 13 on Dualtone in the U.S. and Canada and Decca Records in other countries. It is a cinematic narrative told in three chapters – Gloria Sparks, her son Jimmy Sparks, and her grandson Junior Sparks.
