Indie pop-rockers Tegan and Sara plan to embark on a tour of North America this fall. The duo will tour in support of their upcoming memoir “High School,” due September 24, and their highly-anticipated ninth studio album, Hey, I’m Just Like You, due September 27. The tour will kick off in Brooklyn, New York, on September 24, with stops across the Pacific Northwest, Canada and the Midwest before wrapping up on November 1 in Austin, Texas. “This tour is going to be like nothing we have ever done. We’ll be solo (can we still call it ‘solo’ if there are two of us?),” Tegan and Sara said in a statement. “We’ll be playing acoustic (mostly). We’ll be reading from our memoir High School, and performing songs from the new album Hey, I’m Just Like You,” they added. “And we’ll be playing a collection of songs from our older records (don’t worry!).” Tegan and Sara have also partnered with local, independent book stores to provide a copy of “High School” with every ticket sold to their dates in Brooklyn, Los Angeles, San Diego, San Francisco, Portland and Seattle. Tickets go on sale at 10 am local time on Friday July 26. The pair will donate $1 from every ticket sold to the Tegan and Sara Foundation.
