Pearl Jam have announced that they are bringing their collection of Christmas songs to streaming services.
The band kick started the release of a series of songs on Monday with their 2004 cover of Stevie Wonder’s “Someday at Christmas.”
Pearl Jam announced on Instagram that the “12 Days of Pearl Jam is back this holiday season and we’re celebrating with a holiday single each day!”
Pearl Jam hasn’t revealed which other holiday songs will be released this year, but fans will be treated with new holiday songs on streaming services like Apple Music and Spotify.
According to Rolling Stone, Pearl Jam started the tradition of releasing holiday songs back in 1991, when they dropped “Let Me Sleep (Christmas Time)” as a vinyl single.
They continued the custom nearly every year until 2017, covering “Don’t Believe in Christmas” by the Sonics, “I Believe in Miracles” by the Ramones, “Sonic Reducer” by the Dead Boys and several other songs.
