Papa Roach will head to the studio to begin work on what frontman Jacoby Shaddix has dubbed the “album of their career.” On their eighth studio album, which follows 2010’s Time for Annihilation . . . On the Record and on the Road, the band is entering uncharted territory, says Shaddix: “Opening their minds and listening to a broad range of music from metal to electronic to reggae and soaking up all the inspiration.” He added that it will be “aggressive and uplifting” and “out of the norm.” The forthcoming LP, which is slated for a late 2012 release, will be produced by James Michael. Time for Annihilation . . . On the Record and on the Road charted as high as number 23 on the Billboard 200. Copyright(c) 2011 RTTNews.com. All Rights Reserved
