Linkin Park’s Mike Shinoda has dropped a new song, “Fine,” from upcoming Russian Sci-Fi thriller The Blackout.
“I feel a chill building up inside/Seeing the sweat filling up my eyes/Tell every friend, enemy, flesh and blood/To send out the battle cry,” Shinoda sings on the new track.
“When the director Egor Baranov sent me a clip of the film, I instantly had an idea for what kind of song I wanted to make,” Shinoda said in a press statement. “The tense and unsettling nature of the film instantly resonated with me.”
The Blackout will premiere in the U.S. at The American Film Market in Santa Monica, California, on November 9.
Shinoda had earlier this year shared two new songs, “Prove You Wrong” and “What the Words Meant.” The tracks appeared on the deluxe edition of Shinoda’s solo debut album, Post Traumatic.
Shinoda recently wrapped a world tour in support of Post Traumatic, his debut solo album that arrived almost a year after the death of Linkin Park singer Chester Bennington.
