Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins has revealed the rock band will be back with their tenth studio album in 2020, with work on the record expected to start after the conclusion of their U.K. tour on August 25.
Hawkins revealed the news in a recent interview with Rock Sound.
“From what I’ve heard from our fearless leader Dave Grohl, he has a lot of demos that he’s worked on,” Hawkins said. “I think we’ll start once this tour is over, this little U.K.-ish run … I think not too soon after that, we’ll start the process of putting the songs together as a band.
“It’s a long process. We do a lot of demoing and stuff,” he added. “I think we’ll have a new record by next year. We should.”
The new album would be a follow-up to Concrete and Gold, which debuted at No. 1 shortly after its release in September 2017.
