Death Cab for Cutie has announced details of their upcoming summer tour, kicking off June 7th at Pittsburgh, PA’s Stage AE and including stops at such legendary venues as Queens, NY’s Forest Hills Stadium (June 15th) and Morrison, CO’s Red Rocks Amphitheatre (June 25th) before culminating in an August 11th finale at Los Angeles, CA’s Hollywood Bowl. Today’s announcement follows a previously announced spring North American headline run, kicking off March 29th at The Joint in Las Vegas and culminating in a two-night stand at Nashville’s venerable Ryman Auditorium on April 16th. Support on this leg will come from special guests My Brightest Diamond. In addition, Death Cab for Cutie will make their only announced North American festival appearance with a top-billed performance at Dover, DE’s Firefly Music Festival on Saturday, June 22nd. The summer tour announcement is joined by the release of a stunning new version of THANK YOU FOR TODAY’s latest single, “Northern Lights,” remixed by Alessandro Cortini (Nine Inch Nails).
