St. Louis rock act CAVO's debut single 'Champaign' has climbed to #1 on the Billboard Active Rock chart. The news comes just days after the band's debut 'Bright Nights Dark Days' hit stores.
St. Louis rock act CAVO’s debut single ‘Champaign’ has climbed to #1 on the Billboard Active Rock chart. The news comes just days after the band’s debut ‘Bright Nights Dark Days’ hit stores. The track has reached an audience of more than 117 million, scoring more than 150 radio adds at all Rock formats across the country, including 60 stations in Top 5 Power Rotation and 80+ stations with Top 5 most requested phones. The single has also broken into the Top 10 on the Mainstream Rock Chart, and the Top 25 on the Modern Rock Chart. “We are really excited to have hit Number One on our first single,” says Cavo’s frontman Casey Walker. “It’s a huge milestone to reach, and we’re so appreciative of all of the support we’ve gotten from radio stations and new fans around the country. Hopefully, this is a sign of more great things to come!” CAVO debuted on Alternative Addiction in early 2007 with their song “Gone” which climbed to the top of the Unsigned Top 10 Chart later that year. Their album, The Painful Art of Letting Go, released later that year also featured the hit “Disappear”, which spent several months on the chart as well. Their 2008 release of Champagne EP, featured the song “Useless” which spent over a month at number one prior to being pulled from the chart due to the news of the band’s signing. CAVO was also featured on The Addiction V.9 compliation released in the spring of 2007.
