Cage the Elephant secured their first set of consecutive No. 1s on Billboard’s Adult Alternative Songs with “Social Cues.” “Social Cues” climbed from the 2nd spot to the top position on the October 5-dated chart. “Social Cues” follows “Ready to Let Go,” which had ruled the chart in March. The single also becomes the band’s fourth No. 1 on the chart, having also previously topped the chart with “Come a Little Closer” in 2014 and “Mess Around” in 2016. Meanwhile, the track rose from 4th position to 3rd on the Alternative Songs airplay chart, up 10% to 8.2 million audience impressions, according to Nielsen Music. The track is the second single and title song from the band’s fifth album. Social Cues had debuted at No. 2 on Top Rock Albums and No. 21 on the Billboard 200 chart in May.
