Butch Walker is headed out on what he is calling the “One Man Band” tour which will feature only Walker playing all instruments. The 16 date tour kicks off on July 7th in Vancouver with Jesse Malin opening. “I put a different kind of show together for me this time around, that basically involves me on vocals and guitar, me on bass, oh and me on the piano… And wait… Me on drums too,” joked Walker in a recent e-mail newsletter to fans. “It should be interesting (or a train wreck), but either way, why wouldn’t you wanna see that?” Walker traditionally tours with a full band, or at least a couple supporting musicians. Why the change for this tour? “The record has a more personal approach to the songs so I want the shows to be there same. Might even be neat if some people got up and played with me on some songs…” said Walker.
