Billy Corgan has revealed that he will be playing a free eight-hour concert on February 28. The Smashing Pumpkins frontman’s solo show will feature him doing an interpretation of Hermann Hesse’s 1922 novel Siddhartha. Corgan explained the concept on his Facebook page: “Performance will be centered around an ambient/musical interpretation of Hermann Hesse’s Siddhartha; built by modular synthesis, on the fly,” he began. “Readings of the text to go hand in hand with whatever is created; + the first @Hexistential poster, and event t-shirts too. Hope to see you there.” The show will take place at Billy’s Highland Park tea shop, Madame ZuZu’s, starting at noon. Corgan also recently posted pictures of the band on their first day of writing for their upcoming studio album. The band’s last album, Oceania, was released in 2012. Copyright(c) 2014 RTTNews.com.
