Green Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong shared a photo on Instagram on Friday of what appears to be a signature Dookie-themed MXR guitar pedal. A report from Guitar World said the pedal is believed to be an overdrive pedal based on Armstrong’s Dookie tone, which powered hits like “Longview,” “Basket Case” and “When I Come Around.” “Anyone going to NAMM?” Armstrong said in the caption, leading the speculation the pedal will be made available at the National Association of Music Merchants trade show in Anaheim, California, on January 24-27.
