Alt-J drummer Thom Sonny Green has announced he’s releasing his debut solo album, according to NME. The album titled High Anxiety includes 21 songs, each of which Green has created videos for while working with visual artist Nichola Farnan. “A long-abiding interest in cerebral, idiosyncratic electronica on an album that is warm, yet experimental; playful yet considered; superficially accessible yet simultaneously deep, with Green demonstrating his complete artistry as songwriter, producer and visual artist,” a statement reads of his inspiration for the album. High Anxiety is due out on August 19 through Green’s own label Sudden, which is an imprint of Infectious.
