By way of Nashville, the Indie Song of the Day comes from Shuckster. The band’s debut single – “III of Swords” was just released and that’s the song we’re featuring.
Shuckster has an odd style – they’re like a mish mosh between 90’s rock, pop punk, with a little 60’s rock in there for good measure. The single is the band’s debut single, so who knows where they’re going from here, but if the song is any indication – it’ll be interesting.
Vocalist Mike Williams has a howling vocal that’s enough to reel you in through the first listen. He and drummer Andy Zimmerman both used to play in another Nashville act called The Running, while bassist Ben Lowry used to play in the 1-10’s and Bank Ok Bang.
“III of Swords” was recorded by Brad Vosburg at Fox Mountain Studios in Nashville. The band’s debut EP will be released coming up in early 2018.
