The Indie Song of the Day for today comes from Midnight Mystery Club – a project that has an amazing new album out now called Reason or Rhyme. Midnight Mystery Club is led by David Paul Newell – a songwriter that wrote dance hooks for DJs like Michael Gray and The Shapeshifters. He started MMC in 2015 and named it after a secret bicycling society in San Francisco, California. Although not completely different than what he had written in the past, Newell draws from different influences like Fleedwood Mac, Hall & Oates, and Tears for Fears.
