The Indie Song of the Day comes by way of Germany. It’s coming from Badison, a solo project by Dora, a Düsseldorf producer. Dora’s got a big passion for synth-driven music and she’s been a drummer for various bands in Germany over the years. With Badison, she decided to experiment with production and that led to her writing her own songs. She describes the songs as synthpop, emo, alternative, indie – or whatever influence comes in the writing process. The song we’re featuring from Badison is called “Show You Things.” About the song, Dora said: “It’s about wanting to fix someone and make them realize that there is more to live besides always giving into others. There’s always something other than putting themselves in last place. It’s about that helpless feeling of watching someone you want to help, but you can’t. You realize that there’s nothing you can do because it’s their life, not yours.” The song was written and produced by Badison and mixed and mastered by Matt James Dougherty.
