X Ambassadors have released the new song “OPTIMISTIC” today on KIDinaKORNER/Interscope Records. Written in response to the mass shootings that have occurred in recent weeks in Gilroy, California, Dayton, Ohio and El Paso, Texas, the song is a passionate examination of the toll that inaction is taking on our country and our collective psyche. The band will be making a donation to Everytown For Gun Safety following the release of “OPTIMISTIC.”
“We need to keep these conversations going. About gun violence prevention. About keeping families together. About protecting women’s reproductive rights. The 24-hour news cycle is unrelenting, but it’s important we stay vigilant and don’t forget these injustices,” says X Ambassadors lead singer Sam Harris. “If you want to continue to do more, and you’d like to see real gun reform passed in the United States Senate, donate and CONTACT YOUR SENATORS. Go to http://everytown.org/act to find out how.“
Produced by X Ambassadors and written by the band and Ross Golan (Maroon 5, Linkin Park), “OPTIMISTIC” was recorded at X Ambassadors’ Los Angeles studio.
X Ambassadors released their sophomore album ORION in June and showcased the new material during album release shows in Boston, New York, Toronto, St. Louis and Chicago. The band will kick off a fall headline tour October 8th at the Rialto Theatre in Tucson, AZ.
