Mumford & Sons’ acclaimed single, “Guiding Light,” is #1 at Alternative Radio this week. Already a 10-week #1 at Triple A radio, “Guiding Light” is the multi-Platinum, Grammy Award-winning band’s fourth #1 at Alternative Radio following 2015’s “Believe,” 2012’s “I Will Wait,” and 2009’s “Little Lion Man.”
Guiding Light” is the lead single from Mumford & Sons’ Delta, which debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200, Americana/Folk Albums, Alternative Rock Albums and Rock Albums charts with 230,000 equivalent album units earned (stream/purchase here). Released on Gentlemen of the Road/Glassnote Records, this is the band’s third consecutive #1 debut, the largest sales week for an alternative rock album in 2018 and the sixth-largest debut among all titles last year. In celebration of the release, the band recently returned to NBC’s “Saturday Night Live!” as musical guests performing both “Guiding Light” and “Delta.”
The band is currently in the midst of an extensive 63-date worldwide arena tour including upcoming North American stops at Hartford’s XL Center, Lexington’s Rupp Arena, Atlanta’s State Farm Arena, Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena and Chicago’s United Center among many others.
