3 Doors Down is set to release a brand new Live EP entitled "Another 700 Miles". The live disc will feature six songs, including the new track "It's Not Me"

Four days before the November 11 release of their new live EP, Another 700 Miles, 3 Doors Down will be traveling between Pensacola, Florida, and Waco, Texas — which are approximately 700 miles apart. They probably won’t realize the parallel, and even if they do, they won’t think twice about it. Being in buses for hours and hours has become a way of life for the band. “It’s rough getting home and having to get to know everyone all over again,” guitarist Chris Henderson said of the band’s exhaustive tour schedule. “In the past, my dog would bite me as soon as I’d get into the yard because I’d be gone for eight months at a time. It’s kind of hard.” The live disc will feature six songs, including the new track “It’s Not Me,” which was written in New Orleans in March when the band entered the studio to record some acoustic numbers. “We were like, ‘Hey, we’re already here, let’s do a demo for the label,’ ” Henderson said. The tune, which is about the breakup of a husband and wife, sounded so good, the band added it to its live repertoire and decided to include it on the live EP. Another 700 Miles was recorded earlier this year at shows in Cleveland, Chicago and Cincinnati and features the album cuts “Duck and Run,” “When I’m Gone,” “Kryptonite,” “Here Without You” and a cover of Lynyrd Skynyrd’s “That Smell,” which may be released as a single. “I’m real proud of that song. I almost lost my wife over that thing,” Henderson said. “I had to work so hard on it, I had to shut myself up in my practice room for two weeks, and she was pretty pissed with that. So, I’m pretty proud that I made that accomplishment. Those weren’t easy guitar tracks to learn at all. Lynyrd Skynyrd was the rules from where I’m from.”
