Noel Gallagher readily admitted that he messed up Oasis’ “Champagne Supernova” at Ireland’s Electric Picnic, which took place at Stradbally Hall in Stradbally, County Laois.
During “Champagne Supernova,” Gallagher, who was performing with his band High Flying Birds, stopped after appearing to forget the lyrics, with the crowd helping him out as they sang the sings chorus after Gallagher stopped the song midway through.
“Carry on, we f**ked it up,” Gallagher said. “I’m in charge, I get to f**k it up.”
According to live reports, High Flying Birds also performed “Wonderwall.”
Gallagher was in good spirits after the show, posting a photo of his wife Sarah McDonald on Instagram alongside the caption “Incredible night last night at The Picnic. No one does it like The Irish.”
