Kings of Leon have hinted to fans that new music is on the way. The band, who have not released an album since 2012’s Mechanical Bull, posted a new 14-second clip to Twitter that shows all of the band’s six studio albums to date, before stating that “7 is coming.” The video then concludes by showing the band in the studio, presumably working on the new record. “We’ve already started pre-production in our studio for the next record, but the main thing on the calendar for 2016 is getting the record finished,” drummer Nathan Followill told NME. “And then the whole press machine kicks up and doing press for the record.” Kings of Leon also updated their Facebook page with a cover image that reads “Walls,” which could be a hint as to the new album’s possible title.
