Weezer frontman Rivers Cuomo says that the decision to name their upcoming album Hurley may have been a bad one. “We didn’t want to have another self-titled album, because that’s just confusing,” he told the Canadian Press. “But yeah, we easily could have called it Jorge Garcia, the name of the actor who played Hurley [on TV’s Lost].” He concluded, “Anything else would have been better.” The Hurley album, with its cover featuring a picture of Jorge Garcia’s face, is due out September 14. Elsewhere in the interview, the singer lamented the difficulty the band has had finding names for their albums. “We’ve always had bad luck,” he said. “We put out Pinkerton in 1996, and the day it came out we got sued by the Pinkerton Security Agency, and they took the albums off the shelves in its first week of release.”
