Staind announced via a post on the band’s website that drummer Jon Wysocki is no longer with the band. “We wish him the best, and thank him for all the years he dedicated to Staind,” the band stated in a very breif post on their website, giving no specific reason for Wysocki’s departure. Drummer Will Hunt (Eye Empire, Evanescence) will join the band on their upcoming tour. No permanent replacement has been announced. Staind is planning to release a new album in late 2011, which lead singer Aaron Lewis said that band was about two-thirds of the way complete with during an interview in March. Despite the country sound of his latest solo release, Aaron Lewis says fans can expect the next Staind album to be the “heaviest” the band has ever released. “It’s the heaviest record or collection of songs we have written in a long time. There’s no ‘Outsides,’ no ‘It’s Been Awhiles,’ no ‘Right Heres,’ anything like that. It’s straightforward and heavy.”
