Bastille will be playing numerous arenas on its fall 2014 North American tour.
Bastille – introduced Stateside last summer with intimate, sold-out shows at Los Angeles’ Troubadour and San Francisco’s Popscene – will be playing numerous arenas on its fall 2014 North American tour. In the past year, the band has completed three sold-out runs here and scored a multi-format smash hit with its debut single, “Pompeii,” which has sold nearly three million downloads. The band’s October outing will kick off on October 11 at the Patriot Center outside Washington, DC. It will include shows at Canada’s two largest indoor arenas – Montreal’s Bell Centre (October 14) and Toronto’s Air Canada Centre (October 15) – and an evening at U.S. Bank Arena in Cincinnati (October 17). Bad Blood, Bastille’s debut album, entered the albums chart at No. 1 in the U.K., where it closed out 2013 as the biggest selling debut album and the biggest selling digital album. It has sold more than 750,000 units in the U.S. The band, which was named an MTV 2014 “Artist to Watch,” has received a BRIT Award (British Breakthrough Act) and a Woodie Award (Best Cover).
