Pearl Jam have revealed plans to release a single with an unexpected collaborator, Beyoncé. The release will come as part of the band’s fan club-only series Ten Club and this year’s offering will be their cover of “Redemption Song” with Beyoncé at 2015’s Global Citizen Festival. The track will come as the B-side to a cover of Free’s “Wishing Well” and will mark the second overlap between Pearl Jam and the Knowles/Carter family. In 2013 the band released a cover Jay Z’s signature track “99 Problems” as part of the same series. A video of the collaboration with Beyoncé is currently streaming via YouTube. The news comes at a busy time for Pearl Jam, who also recently gave a friend of frontman Eddie Vedder’s what he wanted for his birthday – a cover of the Doobie Brothers’ “Takin’ It To The Streets.” “I’ve got this friend, right? And I’ve known him long enough where he could give me some s-,” Vedder told the crowd at New York City’s Madison Square Garden. “So we’re celebrating a big birthday for him and his request was so f-ed up. Just f-ed up. I was like, ‘That’s a bit gutsy, especially at the Garden. I don’t want f- around when we’re playing the Garden.” Copyright(c) 2016 RTTNews.com. All Rights Reserved
