The crowd sang along to most every word of the timeless song, according to Rolling Stone. As the song finished, Taylor pointed to the sky and tapped his heart with a lone spotlight on him, paying tribute to the late star. The Slipknot and Stone Sour frontman also performed an acoustic version of Prince’s “Little Red Corvette.”
Prince was found dead at his home in Paisley Park Studios, located in Chanhassen, Minnesota. Although an autopsy has been completed, officials say that it could be days or even weeks before a cause of death is revealed. Reports state that Prince was battling the flu recently, which caused his spend some time in the hospital.
