Rivers Cuomo and his group were featured as a cruise ship band Sailor’s Delight on the episode called “The Hateful Eight Year-Olds.”
In addition to debuting their new track, the band also performed Danny Elfman’s theme music in the end, jamming the instrumental intro.
The “Blue Dream” snippet from the episode will air in the U.K. on May 22 at 8:30 pm via Sky 1.
Several other top acts including, Paul McCartney, Metallica, Judas Priest, the Rolling Stones, the Who and Green Day have previously appeared on The Simpsons.
Recently, Weezer dropped their uplifting new single “Hero.” The accompanying music video showed the band paying tribute to coronavirus frontline workers.
