The U.K.’s Download Festival will not take place this year and has been postponed until next year over coronavirus fears. The festival will now be held from June 4-6 in 2021.
Download Festival 2020 was scheduled to take place in June this year and feature headliners including KISS, Iron Maiden and System Of A Down.
“We’ve been closely monitoring this unprecedented situation and it’s become clear that it just isn’t possible for the 2020 festival to go ahead,” the organizers said in a statement.
Download Festival assured fans that they will do their best to put together an “amazing line up” in 2021.
Download Festival said its ticketing partners will process refunds, and if the ticket holders prefer, they can retain the ticket and carry it over to next year.
“Look out for an e-mail from your ticketing agent very soon and please only contact them if you have not been contacted after 5 days as they are very busy at this time,” the statement added.
