U2 has shared a new video for their track “Love Is Bigger Than Anything In Its Way,” which appears on their 2017 album Songs of Experience.
The new clip, which was filmed in the band’s hometown of Dublin and celebrates youth culture and individuality in the area, features colorfully dressed teenagers with dyed pastel locks dancing along to the track.
“You don’t care about what other people think anymore. It’s about kind of what you feel about yourself and what you want to bring to the world,” says one of the video’s young stars.
“The LGBTQ community is made up of course of people who are LGBTQ themselves, but the community also includes friends and family so really it’s inclusive of everyone,” director David Mushegain said in a piece shared on U2’s website. “It’s about being young and expressing yourself, it’s about how we all have friends and relatives who dress or look or style themselves differently but, as the song says, love is bigger than anything in its way.”
Songs Of Innocence was released in December.
