Twenty One Pilots have released an video in which they offer a complete recap of the online scavenger hunt that they recently hosted for their fans across the globe.
It all kicked off when the Ohio-based duo released a short teaser clip, in which the secret code “LOC-061-220-2012P” was embedded, which fans interpreted as the date on which new information about the band’s most recent single, “Level of Concern” (LOC) would be released.
As predicted, the band shared a 24-hour livestream through their official YouTube channel on June 12, in the description of which fans were able to locate the URL of a strange-looking website that led them on a wild goose chase in an attempt to crack a series of 20 drives, or puzzles.
At the end of the hunt, fans were led to a website through which they could upload short videos of themselves with the song playing in the background. Nearly two weeks later, the band has now compiled the submitted videos and developed the result into a never-ending livestream on their YouTube channel, which also features a live chat for fans to interact with one another.
Titled “How Those Codes Were Solved,” the new video breaks down the hunt from start to finish and is available on YouTube.
