The 1975 announced today that they will return stateside this fall for a North American headline tour in support of their #1 US and UK sophomore album, “I like it when you sleep, for you are so beautiful yet so unaware of it” (Dirty Hit / Interscope Records). The UK art-pop quartet will kick off their tour in Phoenix, AZ on October 13 at Comerica Theatre and will hit major cities including Los Angeles, Toronto, Chicago and Mexico City (see full listings of cities below). A ticket pre-sale launches on Wednesday, July 27 at 10am local time with the password LOVEME and a Citi pre-sale will be available to Citi cardholders at 12pm local time. Tickets go on sale to the general public at 10am local time on Friday, July 29. Pre-sale and general tickets are available here – www.the1975.com/live.
Following their North American run, the band heads to the UK for a December arena tour which includes two dates at London’s The 02 Arena, the first of which sold out in less than three hours. The new shows will form part of a series of concerts that will be toured worldwide with expanded visuals and a brand new set list including songs that have never been played live. The 1975’s constantly evolving performance will fuse art and technology to create a unique live experience.
The 1975, who recently topped Rolling Stone, NPR, Spin, Stereogum, Complex and Entertainment Weekly’s “Best of 2016 (so far)” lists, are scheduled to perform this month at Lollapalooza on Thursday, July 28, Chicago’s House of Blues on July 29, and Summer Music Festival at Oklahoma City Zoo Amphitheatre on July 31.
