Switchfoot will embark on a southeast tour this fall with special guests The Almost, kicking off October 1st in Lynchburg, VA. The band also announced a digital only release of a brand iTunes live EP, featuring 8 live tracks. Switchfoot is also touring in support of their most recent release, Hello Hurricane, which was released in 2008. The band’s latest single, “The Sound” has gone on to become the band’s first Top 10 Modern Rock hit since “Dare You to Move,” broke the band into the spotlight in 2004. The song was inspired by civil rights activist John M. Perkins, who appears in the video for the song. The Almost is touring in support of their latest release, Monster Monster, which hit stores last November.
