Simple Creatures have revealed plans that the band will be releasing a full album soon. The band, which consists of Blink-182’s Mark Hoppus and All Time Low’s Alex Gaskarth, are currently set to release their second EP Everything Opposite later this summer. Their first EP, Strange Love, dropped last month. During an interview with Rocksound, the duo confirmed that they plan to create a full album when asked if they saw more music post-Everything Opposite. “Album, yes,” Hoppus said. “When we first set out, we had enough music to put out a record but I don’t think we wanted to inundate people with that much music right off the bat. We wanted to put out some music (then) put out some more music later. Especially the way that modern music is consumed and released…that’s something that’s really exciting for me as a musician, is to have that agility to put out whatever you want.” Gaskarth also said that he and Hoppus did not want Simple Creatures to be a just “passion project.” “When we talked about doing this, one of the main things we discussed was we don’t just want this to be a passion project that we fire up for a week and then it’s done,” Gaskarth said. “We said if this is gonna be worthwhile and we’re gonna do this then this should be our creative outlet going forward for things that are different and things we can do outside of our existing projects,” he added. “I think, yeah, down the line it’s gonna be a really nice thing to have to just do things a different way.” Copyright(c) 2019 RTTNews.com.
