Rival Sons have topped the rock albums chart on iTunes, top 20 overall, with their release of ‘Hollow Bones’ via Earache Records / ADA. Yesterday, Billboard exclusively streamed the band’s fifth studio album, which features eight tracks and a cover of Humble Pie’s “Black Coffee.”
Vocalist Jay Buchanan said “Each record we’ve made has been part of a distillation towards revealing the band’s essence. This record is finally the release of the unapologetic, wild beast that has long lived within the ribs of Rival Sons, howling to be freed.” Recorded at LCS studios in Nashville, ‘Hollow Bones’ sees the recent two-time Grammy winner Dave Cobb assuming producer duties yet again. Cobb said, “Rival Sons are the best rock ‘n’ roll band on the planet!”
Rival Sons were hand-picked by legendary rock god Ozzy Osbourne to join Black Sabbath on their massive world-wide farewell tour, which continues through the end of 2016.
