Eddie Vedder also took the chance to take aim at President Donald Trump as he asked the crowd to light up their phones to show him what a “really big crowd is.” Kick Out the Jams was released in February 1969, through Elektra Records, and recorded live at Detroit’s Grande Ballroom over two nights, Devil’s Night and Halloween 1968.
