Noel Gallagher has reportedly accused Green Day of "stealing" one of his songs, saying that the arrangement in Oasis' 'Wonderwall' is exactly the same as Green Day's song hit song 'Boulevard Of Broken Dreams'.
Noel Gallagher has reportedly accused American rockers Green Day of “stealing” one of his songs. The Oasis guitarist apparently believes his 1995 hit, ‘Wonderwall’, sounds similar to Green Day’s ‘Boulevard Of Broken Dreams’, which was released in 2004. Noel told Yahoo news: “If you listen, you’ll find it is exactly the same arrangement as Wonderwall. They should have the decency to wait until I am dead [before stealing my songs]. I, at least, pay the people I steal from that courtesy.” He added: “They [Green Day] consider themselves to be – and I quote – ‘a kick-ass rock’n’roll band’. They could not be less kick-ass if they tried.”
