After being immersed in the world of Watchmen, it looks like Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross are ready to return to the music of Nine Inch Nails. In a new upcoming interview with Revolver, plans are revealed for the iconic band to return with new music and a tour for 2020, taking a break from the duo’s hectic schedule of scoring TV and movies. The interview arrives later this month, but fans on Reddit were able to get ahold of a copy in advance. Reznor and Ross last released music as Nine Inch Nails in 2018 with their Bad Witch album, followed by a tour and an amazing output of music for other projects. The pair would go on to do the score for Netflix phenomenon Bird Box and the Jonah Hill directed Mid90s. This year they released three volumes of music for HBO’s Watchmen, and have also revealed that they are set to score Pixar’s upcoming film, Soul. Nine Inch Nails is on the ballot once again for the 2020 class of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. Reznor has previously scoffed at the recognition, but has recently changed his tune after inducting The Cure earlier this year. In an interview with Forbes Trent explained that it felt “validating” to see the band honored. “I wanted to see them respected someplace I feel they deserve.” This article originally appeared on Radio.com here: https://www.radio.com/music/rock/new-nine-inch-nails-album-and-tour-coming-in-2020-report For more great alternative music news and lots more, visit Radio.com http://www.radio.com
