Jack White celebrated his 43rd birthday with an intimate acoustic show in his hometown of Detroit on Tuesday.
The lead singer and guitarist of the Raconteurs teamed up with bandmate Brendan Benson for a 45-minute long performance of 12 songs at White’s Third Man Records in the Cass Corridor in front of a sold-out crowd.
The show included several songs from the rock band’s new chart-topping third album, Help Us Stranger.
During the show, which was watched by White’s family and other Raconteurs members, Benson sang “Happy Birthday” to White, with the crowd joining in.
Third Man Records executive Ben Blackwell introduced the pair.
Both singers are set to play on Friday and Saturday night at Detroit’s Masonic Temple as the Raconteurs launch their North American tour.
