In addition to performing, both acts have also nominated for awards at the event. Imagine Dragons received nods for favorite duo/group – pop rock and favorite artist – alternative rock. Meanwhile, Khalid was nominated for favorite song in the soul/R&B category for “Location.”
Former One Direction member Niall Horan has also been added to the lineup of performers. He will be performing “Slow Hands” off of his debut solo album Flicker.
The American Music Awards will be broadcast live on Sunday, November 19 at 8PM ET on ABC from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles.
